Hey y’all~
Before I say anything, just wanted to point out we’ve got a BlueSky account now! Fully recommend going and giving us a follow over there! ^^
Anyways, been silent for a little while, sorry about that! Was flat-out in November and December, then had my usual break in December, and finally was back to being busy throughout January. November and December was a rush to update and release the Management In Space prototype to get it publicly released! You can check it out here:
January kept us occupied with a lot of administrative work to kick-start the new year. Nothing super fancy to talk about really, but we will hopefully have some cool news coming soon~! ^^ We can share that we’ve been invited to present M.I.S. to Waypoint which is super amazing! We’re really thankful (and excited!) to be sharing the stage with such fantastic local devs.
With the M.I.S. project itself, our focus has shifted from the prototype to rebuilding the game properly. We’ve been going over our original pre-production and feedback from the prototype and have been putting together a new design doc. We want to plan and account for as much as possible before we even start writing code and drawing. The prototype is just a snippet of what we hope to achieve, whipped up in only a few months. Our goal is to have a total rebuilt demo ready towards the end of this year featuring the bare-bones of most of the game. Till then we intend to still do the occasional update to the prototype with new ideas or experiments, but most of our dedication is going to be moving to the main build now.
I am really excited about this project. Back when I was working on the original idea many years ago, it was filled with so many good concepts that it was rather heartbreaking to have to shelve it. Being able to come back and build a new and improved game inspired by the original idea, now with more experience and support, is truly thrilling~!
That’s it from me for now! I’ll be keeping extra busy getting M.I.S. progressing~ Go check out the prototype, follow the socials, and join the Discord! Till next time, stay safe and caring, and all the best~!
^,,^
Oh wait! Did you know that Newgrounds, the place where I first started publishing my games, is running a Kickstarter for a new massive documentary they want to produce?! I owe a lot of where I am today to Newgrounds, so go check that out!
